Position: Quality Engineer
Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for the measurement systems development and data analysis with the objective of improving Tri-Mack process consistency and product quality. This position engages in new product / process development and legacy process improvement. New process work includes measurement system development, collaborative process assessment and development as well as process substantiation documentation. Legacy products and processes are supported with efforts to improve measurement systems, process consistency and product conformance. This position reports to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
New Product Development

Measurement System development and analysis to AS13003 and/or customer requirements.

Direct collaborative PFMEA development to AS13004 and/or customer requirements.

Collaboratively develop process control plans to meet AS13006, AS13002, and/or customer requirements.

Develop CMM programs, fixture design, and operation instructions as required.

Prepare FAI, PPAP, and AQPQ documents and packages and other process substantiation as required.
Legacy Product Support
-
Retrospective process and product analysis as identified in the New Product Development section above.

Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes and products.

Perform process capability assessments as requested.

Employ Design of Experiments, Quality Function Deployment, Process Mapping, Statistical analysis and other tools to facilitate process improvement.

Provide In-process Inspection support and expertise as required.

Develop process control plan improvements as requested.

Lead collaborative RCCA efforts as required.

Evaluate Tri-Mack Quality standards, controls, specifications and processes. Recommend and implement improvements.

Analyze Company quality data and propose improvement methods.

Support Tri-Mack, AS9100, NADCAP, customer and regulatory system conformance.

Support quality initiatives, other projects and assignments as directed by the Quality Manager.
