Injection Molding Processing Technician - Second shift:

Tri-Mack Plastics is a leading supplier of highly engineered plastic parts to the aerospace industry. We specialize in tight-tolerance injection molded and machined plastic parts. We have 15 Injection molding machines ranging from 28 to 600 tons. We Use Engel, Battenfeld, and Arburgs to mold our parts. We process expensive high-temperature resins such as PEEK, Torlon, Ultem, PPS, LCP. All our technicians must be proficient at reading blueprints and measuring their own parts using micrometers, calipers, height gages, and optical comparators.

Duties:

• Follows written English work instructions that describe the process and the required measurements.
• Set machine parameters from cycle logs or machine printouts.
• Startup parts and run within established limits.
• Perform full 1st piece inspection of all features of the parts produced from the set-up. Record the results on inspection logs or in a SPC computer.
• Turn over process to an operator or run production parts as required.
• Train operators on proper machine operation.
• Troubleshoot processes for dimensional and visual problems.
• Verify settings by regularly measuring parts before and after changes are made.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to supervisors and co-workers on other shifts.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Full/Part Time: Full Time 

Salary: Hourly Wage $10.00 to $17.00 

Job Requirements

• Good verbal and writing skills in English
• 4+ years experience cycling injection molding machines.
• Strong blueprint interpretation skills
• Manual micrometer, caliper, and optical comparator skills
• Experience setting up injection molds.
• Computer skills preferred.

Note: All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment physical with eye exam and drug screen. Tri-Mack performs background checks.
