Position Summary: The Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining the general cleanliness and appearance internally and externally of two production facilities. This will include some heavy and light duties such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, shoveling snow and sweeping walkways, some painting, removing trash, cleaning bathroom and break rooms, etc. This position will perform some routine type maintenance activities such as changing light bulbs, filters, etc. Finally, this position will communicate with the nighttime cleaning service to ensure both buildings are in “customer ready shape” at all times. Work load estimated at 50% cleaning and organization and 50% maintenance project – this will vary day to day depending on business needs.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms, conference rooms, employee break rooms – keep areas neat and organized.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. . • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Change light bulbs, filters, and other minor maintenance repairs.
• Cleans snow and debris from walk ways and parking lots.
• Small carpentry projects (e.g. build and or install shelving).
• Work on special cleaning and organization projects throughout the facility.
• Drive a fork lift and company truck.Adhere to all AS9100 requirements - employer will train as necessary.
• Make continuous improvement recommendation based on observations to ensure the facility is clean, organized and efficient.
• All other duties as requested or assigned.
Education, Skills & Experience:
• Previous cleaning experience is preferred
• Previous general/lite maintenance and or small carpentry project work is preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds • Ability to climb up and down ladders
• Ability to use all cleaning solutions, small hand tools, and power tools.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Valid drivers’ license.
• Must be able to work independently as well as get along with others.
• Ability to show up to work on time each day.
